Keto baked spicy feta / Bouyiourdi
Bouyiourdi is an amazing oven-baked dish, with tomatoes, peppers and feta cheese, usually served as an appetizer. Traditionally, it is spicy, but -as all spicy dishes- you may have it as hot as you like. Enjoy it with your toasted keto bread!

Ingredients
180 gr tomatoes
150 gr feta cheese - regular or vegetarian
1 medium red pepper(s) (119 gr)
3 tbsp(s) olive oil (41 gr)
Seasoning
salt (to taste)
ground black pepper (to taste)
tsp(s) dried ground oregano
Optional
red hot chili pepper(s)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C / 350°F
- Cut the tomatoes into 12 slices, the feta cheese into 3 large chunk(s) and dice or slice the red pepper(s)
- Use 3 small baking dish(es) (or simply use aluminum foil) and lay 2 tomato slices at the bottom of each dish
- Place a chunk of feta cheese on top of the tomato slices
- Then, add the rest 2 slices of tomatoes on top of the feta cheese, as well as the red pepper pieces
- Add salt & pepper (to taste), season with oregano and sprinkle the olive oil
- Lastly, but optional, add a red hot chili pepper in the baking dish or some chili powder
- Bake for 15-20 minutes and serve while still warm
Notes
✔ Preferably use plum or classic tomatoes
✔ You may use green, yellow, orange and/or red pepper
