Keto marinara sauce
Delicious keto marinara sauce with fresh tomatoes and green peppers. Use it as a dip for your vegetable fries, or as a sauce for your keto pasta, noodles and pizza. Easy to make, low in carbs, rich in aromas and delightful taste!

Ingredients
400 gr tomatoes
4 tbsp(s) olive oil (54 gr)
0.5 medium green pepper(s) (60 gr)
2 clove(s) of garlic (6 gr)
Seasoning
1 tsp(s) dried ground oregano (2 gr)
0.5 tsp(s) dried ground basil (1 gr)
0.5 tsp(s) onion powder (1 gr)
salt (to taste)
ground black pepper (to taste)
Water
0.5 cup(s) water (120 gr)
Instructions
- Wash and dice the tomatoes or blend them in a food processor. Set aside
- Place a saucepan over medium heat and add the olive oil
- In the meantime, chop the pepper(s) & garlic or slightly mince them in a food processor
- Add chopped pepper(s) & garlic in the saucepan and saute in the olive oil for about 2 minutes or until the garlic starts to turn golden
- Then add the tomatoes and season with oregano, basil, onion powder, salt & ground black pepper (to taste)
- Stir the ingredients, add water, bring the sauce to a simmer and let it cook for 12-15 minutes, while stirring occasionally
Notes
✔ Preferably use plum or classic tomatoes. Alternatively, use can crushed tomatoes
✔ Tip: Make larger quantity of sauce and keep it in small containers in the freezer. As such, you will always have homemade marinara sauce to use
✔ Serving size: about 1/2 cup of marinara sauce
