Keto sauteed shrimps with avocado

This delicious dish is prepared with sauteed garlicky shrimps served with avocado and freshly squeezed lemon juice. The combination of shrimps sauteed in butter with the buttery taste of avocado and the sweet-spicy flavor of garlic is breathtaking! Try this out!

1 avocado(s) (201 gr)

450 gr frozen raw shrimps, peeled & deveined

1 clove(s) of garlic (3 gr)

2 tbsp(s) salted butter (28 gr)


salt (to taste)

ground black pepper (to taste)


0.5 lemon(s) juiced (24 gr)


  1. Defrost the shrimps, by placing them in a bowl of water for 10 minutes
  2. Then, dry them with a towel and season with salt & pepper (to taste)

While the shrimps are defrosting

  1. Wash the avocado(s) and cut in half. Remove the seed, scoop out the flesh and cut into thin rings or slices. Set aside on a serving dish
  2. Peel and chop the garlic. Set aside


  1. Place a deep skillet over medium heat and add the butter* & the garlic and stir with a wooden spoon
  2. When garlic begins to sizzle, add the shrimps
  3. Let them cook for 2-3 minutes (depending on the size of the shrimps) on each side, until they turn pink
    • use a fork or tongs to flip them


  1. Remove skillet from heat and place the shrimps on the avocado slices
  2. Serve with freshly squeezed lemon juice


✔ *You may use ghee or olive oil, instead of butter, for a lactose-free alternative
