Vegan keto beets hummus
This keto beets hummus recipe perfectly combines the earthy flavor of beets with the nutty sesame taste and the sharp flavor of lemon juice. The end result is simply amazing! What's more, a relatively large serving of 3 tablespoons contains just 2.5gr of net carbs; less than a gram per tablespoon. Enjoy!

Ingredients
1.5 cup(s) sliced canned beets, drained (255 gr)
4 tbsp(s) lemon juice (61 gr)
3 tbsp(s) olive oil (41 gr)
4 tbsp(s) tahini (whole sesame seeds) (56 gr)
Seasoning
1 tsp(s) cumin (2 gr)
1 tsp(s) garlic powder (3 gr)
salt (to taste)
ground black pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Add the beets, lemon juice & olive oil in a food processor and process for a few seconds, until smooth
- Use a spatula to scrape the sides and add the tahini & seasonings
- Process for a few more seconds, until all ingredients are well-mixed and smooth
- Taste the mixture, add more salt and/or pepper and/or lemon, if needed
- Serve with raw vegetables, toasted keto bread or low-carb tortillas
Notes
✔ You may use frozen or fresh beets, boiled, steamed or roasted, instead of canned
✔ Storage: Store in the fridge for 5-6 days, in a container with a lid or cover with cling film. You may also keep it in the freezer for up to 6 months
✔ Serving size: about 2.5-3 tablespoons
